The past few weeks have been busy, somehow. We’re slowly crossing things off the pre-departure list, and yet adding to the list all the time. One big recent success was getting our first aid supplies. We had some items, but needed to buy quite a few things too. They arrived over the course of a week and I unpacked the boxes. Then I did a full inventory and organized everything into bags so we can stow it away in multiple areas.

I also prepared our emergency water supply. Our vessel has two water tanks which carry a total of 155 gallons. For emergencies, we now carry an extra 30 liters. I managed to squeeze them through a small opening so they are stowed away below the salon floor now just in case we need them.

The next big thing for us was getting the new Highfield CL310 dinghy and e-Propulsion 1.0 Spirit Plus electric outboard motor! They are fantastic. We carried our electric outboard to the taxi, loaded it in the trunk, and unloaded at the waterfront dealership where we picked up our new dinghy. We easily attached the electric motor and motored back to our marina, via the locks. We were the smallest boat in the locks, and they sent us through the large locks! We’ve taken her out for a few spins over the past few days and could not be happier.

Looking good. I can sense the excitement for pushing off and getting underway. Go, go go!
The cutest outboard motor I’ve ever seen!
